Audi Forum, factory tour & museum mobile - the visitor guide

Ingolstadt and Audi are inseparable. The company's headquarters has shaped the city for decades, and the Audi Forum makes this connection tangible for visitors. Whether you are here on business, picking up your new car, or simply appreciate automotive history, you will find everything you need for your visit right here.
What is the Audi Forum?
The Audi Forum Ingolstadt is the visitor and experience center located at the factory site. Under one roof, you will find the museum mobile brand museum, the starting point for factory tours, vehicle collection for new car customers, as well as dining options and an event program that even includes an art-house cinema.
The museum mobile
The museum tells the story of the four rings across several levels. It begins with the predecessor brands Audi, DKW, Horch, and Wanderer, continues through the rally era of the quattro, and concludes with current models. Even if you aren't a car enthusiast, the visit is worthwhile: the architecture of the circular building and the moving vehicle installation inside are sights in their own right. Plan for one to two hours.
The factory tour
The tours allow you to get up close to the ongoing production process, from body shop to final assembly. These tours are popular and capacity is limited, so be sure to book in advance via the official Audi website, especially for weekends and holiday periods. You will also find the current times, languages, and age restrictions there, as these are subject to change.
Getting there from the city center
The Audi Forum is located at the factory site in the north of the city. You can easily reach it from the old town by car or city bus, with frequent connections available. If you are feeling active, you can take a bike: the route is flat and takes about fifteen minutes.
A tip for vehicle collectors and business travelers
If you are picking up your car at the factory or have business at Audi for a few days, you should stay where there is still some life in the evenings. That means the old town: restaurants, bars, and the Danube right on your doorstep, while still being just a few minutes away from the factory site in the morning.
