The good news is: arriving and parking with us is completely straightforward if you know the right tricks.
Whether you are checking in for a long business project or exploring Ingolstadt as a tourist for the weekend, nobody wants to lug heavy suitcases for hundreds of meters.
Our pro tip for your arrival: Navigate directly to our address when you arrive: Donaustraße 13, 85049 Ingolstadt (the main entrance to the apartments is around the corner on Münzbergstraße). Since Donaustraße is a central artery of the old town, you can easily pull over to the side of the road for a few minutes. Parking directly on Donaustraße: An overview of the rules
If you would like to park your car directly on Donaustraße or in the immediately adjacent streets, you can take advantage of very guest-friendly regulations—you just need to know the details:
- Free of charge in the evenings and at night: From 6:00 PM in the evening until 9:00 AM the next morning, parking in the marked areas of Donaustraße is completely free of charge. Perfect for those arriving after work.
- Short-term parking during the day (always requires a ticket): During the day, you can park for 20 minutes for free to run errands or take care of quick tasks. Please note: You must still obtain a free ticket (the so-called "bread roll button" ticket) from the parking machine and display it clearly in your vehicle.
- Observe the maximum parking duration: If you wish to park for longer than the 20 free minutes during the day, you must purchase a regular paid ticket. The maximum parking duration is limited to 1 or 2 hours , depending on the specific zone.
- Important note: Please always pay close attention to the local parking signson-site, as zones and maximum time limits can change at short notice.

Are you traveling in an electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid (e.g., as a company car)? That is perfect, as Ingolstadt offers an excellent charging infrastructure right in the historic city center, all around 21rooms:
- Right on Donaustraße: Public charging stations are available almost right on our doorstep. You can leave your electric vehicle here for a maximum of 2 hours and park while it charges (please do not forget to place your parking disc in a clearly visible spot in your car).
- Parking at the indoor swimming pool: You will also find designated EV charging stations operated by the municipal utilities in the large, open parking lot at the indoor swimming pool (just a 4-minute walk away). This is ideal for easily charging your car during an appointment or a stroll through the city.
- City Theater underground parking garages (Theater East / Theater West): If you prefer to keep your car protected and sheltered from the elements, the parking levels of the adjacent theater underground garages offer modern charging stations for electric vehicles. Your car can charge safely while you relax in your apartment.
The best options for long-term parking in the area
If you need to park your car for longer than 1–2 hours during the day or for several days at a time, we recommend the following options, located just a 3 to 5-minute walk from 21rooms:
- Option 1: The parking lot at the indoor swimming pool (our top choice for flexibility): Located just about 400 meters from your apartment door is the large parking area at the indoor swimming pool (Jahnstraße). It is an open, very accessible surface parking lot. If you are not a fan of tight underground garages, this is the perfect spot for you. Walking time to 21rooms: approx. 4 minutes.
- Option 2: The City Theater underground garage (perfect for all weather conditions): If you prefer to keep your car in a dry, video-monitored space, the underground garage at the City Theater (Schloßlände) is the best choice. It is modern, extremely close, and perfectly protected from the weather. Ideal for business travelers with high-end vehicles. Walking time to 21rooms: approx. 3 to 4 minutes through the pedestrian zone.
- Option 3: The Reduit Tilly underground garage (affordable, on the other side of the Danube): An excellent and often more affordable alternative located directly on the opposite side of the river in Klenzepark. From there, you can enjoy a relaxing walk across the Danube pedestrian bridge directly to us. Walking time to 21rooms: approx. 5 minutes.
For long-term guests (expats & project staff): If you are staying at 21rooms for several weeks or months, it is worth getting a long-term parking pass from the city of Ingolstadt (IFG) for the City Theater garage or the indoor swimming pool. This allows you unlimited entry and exit for a fixed monthly price.
