The weekly market at Theaterplatz

The highlight for self-caterers: The Ingolstadt weekly market takes place on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at Theaterplatz, just a few steps from Donaustraße. You will find fresh local fruit and vegetables, cheese, fish, poultry, honey, flowers, and Mediterranean delicacies. There are also snack stalls for a quick bite.

A market visit on a Saturday morning followed by coffee in the Old Town is the perfect way to start the weekend. If a market day falls on a public holiday, the market usually moves to the previous day.

Supermarkets

For your daily needs, you will find supermarkets and discounters within walking distance of the Old Town, perfect for everything from a quick evening shop to your weekly grocery run. While city-center branches are naturally smaller than those on the outskirts, they offer the convenience of being just a few minutes away. If you need to stock up on larger supplies, you will find large full-range supermarkets with parking just a short drive or bike ride outside the city center.
